Drama plays an important part of school life at The Cedars with regular performances throughout the year. A school production and extra curricular clubs complement the curriculum. Visits to theatrical productions form an exciting part of school life.
Drama is taught in Years 7 and 8 but, as with music, it is valued most of all for the opportunities it provides for pupils to take part. All boys are given the opportunity to get involved in at least one performance each year; past productions include Homer’s Odyssey, and Shakespeare’s As You Like It and Julius Caesar. There are also regular trips to theatre venues such as The Globe, The National Theatre, The Royal Opera House and other major London theatres.
